Job Interview
This is a bit fast and unexpected but in a good way. Last Monday I sent out a resume on Monster for one of the PM positions that were listed like I do daily and within an hour I got a call back from the company's rep asking for 30 min phone interview for the same day later in the afternoon. Of course I agreed and we had nice little chat where she asked me bunch of questions about past employment, etc. Then she said she'll pass along my answers to the hiring manager and if it's a match they'll schedule an interview in person. So this Monday she called and asked if I was available on Wed to come in to their office. Of course I jumped at it and said that I'll be there any time she wants. And so today I dolled up, got my suit out of the closet and 4" heels and off I went. It's 45 min away in Central Jersey but it's still doable when it comes to commuting daily. I've met with the hiring manager and she sounded really great - how good team is, all details about company and position and what they're expect of the new hire. From her description, this position fits me like a glove. It's perfect for me. And it looks like I'm a good fit for them because I have all skills and experience they need. And now it's a waiting game to see if they'll bring me in for the second round where I get to meet higher up manager. I really do hope it works out. The company is large and stable and they have projects lined up for the next 4 years so I won't have to worry about not having enough to do. It doesn't pay too much - about 15K less than my last job but they're also flexible so that if/when I need time to work from home (like when it's snowing) they can accommodate and it won't be any problems. Overall it would be really great thing from my side so I'm looking forward to a call back. At this point keep your fingers crossed and hope that I'll get this job.

I so hope this works out for you, Jenny! Sounds like it's a perfect fit. $15,0000 less is a lot, BUT if you don't have to get out in the snow and ice it very well could be worth it!
Good luck!
